Overview
Elevating the Construction Industry's Premier Event Experience
The objective of this project was to completely reimagine the look, feel, and narrative flow of the UK’s biggest roofing event. Bringing together over 900 industry professionals at the InterContinental London – The O2, the challenge lay in translating a traditional sector into a highly dynamic, contemporary live event experience. I was responsible for creating, developing, and directing the full design system, spatial styling, and multi-disciplinary content across every touchpoint of the ceremony.
Problem
Fractured Content Ecosystems: The event previously relied on disjointed digital assets, resulting in a fragmented visual experience between print brochures, main-stage projections, and post-event media. Massive Scale Visual Friction: The venue's large-scale panoramic LED backdrops required high-impact, custom motion design that commanded attention without overwhelming the award presentations or the physical geometry of the stage. Complex Multi-Category Sequencing: Scripting, video sequences, and visual cues for 21 unique award categories required a foolproof, high-tempo content flow to maintain audience engagement over a four-hour live production.
Solution
The result was a highly polished, visually cohesive production that completely modernised the NFRC Awards' profile. By intertwining the refreshed event branding with an intuitive content flow, we elevated the entire ceremony into an immersive, premium celebration of trade craft.
